Education in Contemporary India

In this article in the series ‘Book Talks’, we have the book, "Education in Contemporary India" by M. V. Srinivasan. The book captures the vast arena of modern education, opening in the colonial period as early as 1813, when the British Parliament allowed Christian Missionaries to carry out their work in the "British Territory" in India, till the contemporary times. It maps the meandering and complex journey of the constitutional commitment of Indian education to foster diversities.
